Can anyone help my son with an essay on a novel called The Relic?

My son is doing this major report on the novel (the relic) can anyone help him. He read the book, but he doesn't remember everything. His instructions were: to name all the major things that lead from the beginning of the book to the end. If anyone can help him, i would greatly appreciate it!
