Painting kitchen cabinets. Do you have any suggestions on best method?

You can paint them without sanding but you should use a primer called BIN. If you paint without a primer the paint will not adhere well and will chip off really easily and probably will do so before the 2 years are up. BIN is a shellac based primer and will adhere to anything without sanding. You MAY be able to use a oil base paint on them without priming, but I'm not sure about that so I would check with a professional paint store first. (2 years can seem like a long time if the paint starts chipping off and looks terrible) Good luck!
