Is there anyway to charge a normally nonchargeable electric "plug in" unit?

So basically im unsure if there is a charger that can be plugged into and electric unit so that it can be "plugged in" outside. Mainly i'm curious about being able to use an electric guitar outside with an amp that isn't ordinarily chargeable/uses batteries.
