Fellow Christians, how is pure fear of God different than just nervous that He might feel letdown by you?

I don't fear God I respect God's judgment, his love and his forgiveness. fear means you are being a good Christian for the wrong reason, who is the better child? the child brought up with the fear of the father and the punishment or the child that respects it's father and looks up to him in awe?
