How do you say, "grandfather" in Gaelic?

My best friend's son is having a baby. The grandfather is of Irish decent and we were talking about what the grandson would call the grandfather as an endearing Irish name. We were wondering what grandchildren in Ireland call their grandfather in their native tongue...other than English. Thank you so much for your suggestions.
