How does the Book of Mormon compare to other fictional works from the 19th Century?

It's hard to compare a non-fiction book with fiction books. If it were to be compared to a fictional work, it would be comparable to Les Miserables because it is so epic in scope. It doesn't cover a single event, it covers a series of events. The book, as a whole, covers 1000 years of history starting in Jerusalem and ending in the Americas. If you look for meaning in it, you will find it. Just how, if you look for meaning in any of the books you mentioned, you'll find it there too.
