Buying a 6 year old BMW RT1150?

Is it good to buy this bike? It's about S$18k. Will I have many parts wear and tear coming in...the guy from the shop say, this is avery durable bike needs about 10years of commitment and enjoy the ride to the max. Not so sure about the maintenances. should I get a FY plate hayabusa, same price. isurance higher for a busa?Any Suggestions?
